Fibre optics to feature on 10’s ‘Scope’ Science Program

IPAS research student Sean Manning is to be the featured scientist on 10’s ‘Scope’ science program.

The program will cover how fibre optics are made, how they work and what applications they can be used for.

Italian-Australian Workshop
The workshop “Photons for Medicine and Materials Science” will be held at Mt Eliza, Melbourne, Australia from the 19th to the 21st of February, immediately following the Biology and Synchrotron Radiation and Medical Applications of Synchrotron Radiation (http://www.bsr2010.org/) conferences. The scope of the workshop is to promote collaboration between Australian and Italian synchrotron scientists in the application of synchrotron radiation to medical, biological, and materials science.
