Announcement: IPAS Director Tanya Monro taking up new position of DVCR at the University of South Australia

After 10 years at the University of Adelaide, 5 of those years as the Director of the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing (IPAS), Prof Tanya Monro will be departing to take up the role of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) (DVCR) at the University of South Australia, commencing on 10 November 2014.”This new role gives me the opportunity to lead a university-wide strategy for building research excellence that is closely linked to enterprise and I welcome the challenge.” Prof Tanya Monro said.

As leader, Tanya has helped create a dynamic culture focused on transdisciplinary opportunities, research excellence, and external engagement. Whilst we will miss having Tanya at the helm, she will remain research active and continue to collaborate with IPAS researchers going forward.

Everyone at the Institute wishes Tanya the very best in her new role and we look forward  to our future engagements with her.
