Recently published research ‘Structure guided design of Biotin protein ligase inhibitors for antibiotic discovery’ by Dr Steven Polyak

Many drugs that we use to treat bacterial infections are becoming obsolete due to the rise of antibiotic–resistance. The discovery of chemicals that that target an essential bacterial enzyme, and can potentially be developed into new antibiotics, is reviewed in this article.
