Lead silicate microstructured optical fibres for electro-optical applications

This work is the first attempted to combine the advantages of non-silica glass, optical fibres and microstructured fibre design to create highly efficient electro-optical devices. Each of these individual advantage aspects are well researched and reached the bottle necks in their own developments, however, the merging of these separated aspects opens an new frontier for the next generation of devices.
