IPAS strengthens ties with German universities.

A/Prof Heike Ebendorff-Heidepriem of IPAS has been awarded $20,000 over 2010 and 2011 in order to support exchanges for Australian researchers to spend time at partner institutions in Germany and for collaborating German researchers to spend time at The University of Adelaide.
The scheme is a joint initiative of the Go8 and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Germany’s national agency for the support of international academic co-operation. It aims to foster research collaboration of the highest quality between Australian researchers from Go8 universities and German researchers; resulting in quality research outcomes and the exchange of skills and knowledge of mutual benefit to Australia and Germany

Professor Tanya Monro – IPAS Director, said:

IPAS collaborates with many leading academic groups from around the world this award will allow us to further strengthen our links with several groups in Germany. I would like to congratulate Heike on being awarded this prestigious funding and look forward to the research outcomes that will flow from these collaborations.
