IPAS launch

The Institute for Photonics and Advances Sensing was formally launched on Friday the 13th of Noevember 2009 by the Govenor of South Australia, His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin Scarce AC CSC RANR, at the Royal Institution of Australia (RiAUS).

The event included speeches from notable dignitaries from within the University such as the Vice Chancellor, Prof James A. McWha and from external IPAS partners like DSTO [Hear Prof Monro speak at the launch].

The launch marks the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new era for transdisciplinary research at the University of Adelaide led by IPAS.
